Senior rabbit cleaning attempt

My bunny is getting old and his stompers can’t hold him that good anymore so cleaning will either be done by wifey or just with one paw now. (He did have a broken shoulder with a temporary tilt a few years ago)

When my bun was sick she used to let me help her stay up so she could clean on her own. Or I used to hold her ear down so she could reach her ear and clean. Was adorable.

That’s why it’s very important to clean their ears too, you don’t want them to get an infection because they can’t reach inside.

Maybe some meloxicam or willow branches would help the pain

Senior rabbits are so damn precious. Humans don’t deserve rabbits

Awww…that’s what happened to my 11 years old bunny. I am glad he has his bun wife to help. Mine ended up having an infection although I took her to the vet every 6 months. I believe her ear infection led to a stroke, and I had to put her down.

What a sweetheart! I saw your comment about his age being around 10. I also adopted my boy 6 1/2 years ago and they’d had him 3 years so he’s around the same, or older. Have you been giving him joint supplements? I started giving mine the Oxbow joint support tablets about 2 months ago. They seem really helpful. I’m trying to help stave off mobility and arthritis issues. So far he doesn’t seem to have any issues just doesn’t binky as much as he used to, overall more mellow.

It was an honor to have him but he will rest soon 😕

Sweet bun, he’s doing the best that he can. Might not be as fast or sturdy as he was at another point in time, but he’s working with it.

Oh my goodness how cute is he !!! My bunny is 9 and I love to see other cute old guys

He’s doing a fine job. Just went and got distracted by a real fine blade of grass and nice warm sun 🌞

  17. Mini lop of ten. Had a tough time with E. cuniculi and we blame that on her now rear gammy leg. All things considering though she’s doing well.

My buns leg is missing, so she can’t support herself to clean woth both paws, so she usually flops and cleans herself lying down.
