There is two types of teeth grinding. Kinda soft and quiet which is there equivalent of purring. Loud and aggressive grinding is a bad sign and usually signals thay your rabbit is in pain. If it is grinding its teeth loudly I would take it to the vet to be checked out. Is it showing any other symptoms?

Loud grinding usually means pain. Cold ears, sitting hunched, refusing food, not pooping are too. Any of these with loud grinding calls for a vet visit. Little soft grinds while you’re petting them is called tooth purring and means they’re content. You can find a larger sub on r/rabbits with lots of help.

If I were you, I wouldn’t wait and just go to the vet. Rabbits are not like humans – they hide their pain as long as possible, so between seeing first symptoms and having a fatal condition there are sometimes only a few hours when you can actually do something to help. Make sure its dumplings are of regular size and it doesn’t tense up while making them. Usual case of pain with my buns is intestinal obstructions, caused by increased amount of fur swallowed (when shedding), but also one of my buns has teeth malocclusion – he doesn’t chew enough when his molars get too big/sharp, so the food is fermenting in his guts causing problems. We have to take him for teeth correction every 2-3 months to avoid this.
