Cats getting used to the new bunnies

Hoping all goes well, so far so good. Lots of curiosity on both ends thus far! When did you guys know to trust your cats around rabbits?

this gives me anxiety lol, but I’m sure after a while and good training, nothing unfortunate will happen to the bunny.

I would just be very warry about the cats saliva; I’m not sure how it works but cat saliva is toxic to rabbits and most prey animals. It might have to be an actual bite but just give it a while longer, cats usually lose interest in things unlike dogs.

I’d be carefull but with our bunnys and cat we could trust the cat immediately. Still, they are (of cause) never alone without something deviding them to keep them safe.

But to answer the question: we knew that the cat was to be trusted around the bunnys the second they met. That was the moment the tiniest bunny decided that she’d rip the cat to pieces if it gets too close and the cat decided that he’d rather get carried towards the couch, when that long eared monster is running freely. Nearly two years later, he is still afraid of muffin and she still hates his guts but accepts him passing by if he looks sufficiently afraid. Oh and the other bunny sometimes cuddles up to the poor cat.
