This was a test. They are planning their advance to take over and join forces with their bunkin. Each thump of our little critters over these past centuries has been a signal. Like morse code. Now that hoomans have stopped progressing as fast as in the past century, they could finally settle on a solid plan and adapt to our weird moving vehicles and tools. This was the first sniff. The first jump. The first Binky. And he will report the success of the operation to his fellows.
I’m warning you all. If I never be seen again, take the hint. They will come to get me Watership style.
