Loves to chew, just not her toys….

I just got two baby bunnies, 8 and 9 weeks old. From two different breeders. Lexi (a Holland lop.) and Cooper (a mix between holland lop and belgian giant. Mom has some giant in her and dad is a purebred holland lop. Mom isn’t much bigger than a holland lop.)

Anyway, Cooper is the oldest and pretty shy though she has really come out and now wants some light cuddles as long as you don’t push yourself on her, she’ll hide once it gets to much but is very nice and gentle when taking treats from my hand.

Lexi… well.. she’s the complete opposite. Very social and only took an hour before she was very comfortable and acting like she owned the house. She’s very happy and active but doesn’t play with toys. She licks me and craves attention, jumping all over me when I sit in the pen with them. Her problem though is she really REALLY likes to chew my nails. I tried to offer her sticks and stuff to chew on but she doesn’t want them. Only chews on my nails. Has tried to escape a few times despite being so tiny. Sits in the hay holder instead of the litter box, refuses to sit it the litter box and poops in the hay instead. She’ll lightly nibble on your fingers and is takes treats very aggressively. She’s strong. She’s truly something. She might be tiny now but she won’t be soon and I would like to get her to chew on toys instead of my nails. How do I encourage her to chew toys instead? Also, while Cooper who actually lived outside seems to have picked up on litter box training after just two days, Lexi shits and pisses everywhere.
I’ve had them for 2 days now but they both trust me and come over to me when I walk up to their pen.

Oh and for shits and giggled, here is them eating salad for the first time. It’s obviously who is Lexi here.

I can see they are both displaying the same *food wars* strategy as my Mel, which consist in chewing as close to your fingers a possible, to get you to drop the *prize.*

How old are they? They look a bit to young to be eating anything but alfalfa hay or alfalfa based pellets.

Edit: Just saw the description. Stop feeding them lettuce. Their digestive system is insanely sensitive and 8 and 9 weeks an improper diet can lifelong GI issues. I understand it’s cute but this is not okay for them to eat and you’re endangering their well being. Nothing but alfalfa hay and pellets until a 12 weeks MINIMUM.
