my rabbit has been pooping these everywhere and I don’t know how to help. He’s ~2.5 years old and has megacolon so his poop is constantly changing but these kind of poop seem to always stick around. He’s been to the vet 4 times in the past 2 months. His fecal test came back good and my vet hasn’t been able to do much except give critical care and it hasn’t changed anything. His diet strictly consists of Timothy hay (I have a hard time getting him to eat as much as he should, even after trying multiple brands), half cup Science Selective now transitioning into Oxbow essentials (he needs half cup or will lose weight), Critical care daily, timothy kaytee chew bales, and baby gas drops.

Yeah those are just loose cecotropes, nothing majorly scary but bun definitely needs more hay or variety of hay and fibre. Try the fibasticks designed for buns who don’t eat enough hay or the condensed cubes of hay. Fussy buns can often prefer rye or oat hay too so definitely try a few more types rather than brands of Timothy.
Dry forage is also really good to try and make hay more appealing so things like nettle stalks or dried dandelion leaves mixed in can lure/trick them into eating more hay

So I have a bunny who has megacolon, and he needs chlorestaramine (could be spelling this wrong). He gets it for four weeks on, two weeks off. It helps the cecum absorb. Ask your vet about it. It is also a human medication and can be picked up at the regular pharmacy. I think we paid $10 for it at the human pharmacy. He is also on an all hay, 3 tablespoon alfalfa pellet diet for weight and gut control. When we were initially stabilizing him, he was on a probiotic and an antibiotic along with the chlorestaramine and something else I forget. Ask about that. If they need to consult with another vet on it, Chicago exotics was very helpful for us.
