Breed?

I’m just curious as what breed my bunny might be? I took them in as some I knew couldn’t keep them but they didn’t know the breed either. They’re only 4 months as well.

Extra floof around the head and butt (commonly referred to as a “mane” and “skirt” respectively) – you have yourself a lionhead bunny 🙂

What a beautiful bun! The mane and face coloration make me think a Dutch and lionhead mix!

Breed: Petable, loveable, absolutely rabbitulous or bunny-rific!

What I’ve never seen a rabbit with this color before.. they are beautiful!

Lionhead mix. Since he’s young, don’t be sad/surprised if his mane and skirt shed out- my LH mix rescues lost all their hairdos around 6-7 months and they grew them back in, seemingly permanently 🙂

Omg congrats you have a lionhead! It could be a mix of something else. I have one too and I think they’re just the most lovable and sweet breed.

Such a beauty! What is her name? I like to put a name to a face. 😄

Let’s see, the nose to ear angle, whisker placement, foot offset during sploot, give me a minute…

Yep, that bun is 34% English Sass, and 71% Dutch Cream Cookie.

He definitely isn’t pure bred. Both from his overall type and the placement of his wool it is safe to say he has some Lionhead in him, what percentage cannot be determined. As for other breeds I cannot tell; he does not have any other breed defining characteristics.

Color: His color would be known as cream and the marking (white blaze on fave and white color) are caused by the Vienna gene. You can also tell it is the Vienna gene because he has blue eyes (not all rabbit with the Vienna gene have blue eyes, but all blue eyed rabbits have the Vienna gene). **This does not mean he is mixed with dutch.** Any rabbit can come in any color/pattern, even pure bred English spots come in solid colors (known as “sports”). When determining breed verity should rarely be taken into account.

Definitely a royalty breed. Looking like a King Charles 🥰

as some have said, dutch lionhead probably.

but also could someone tell me what that first image’s flop means – like is it a sign of stress or happiness? my bun does it all the time and the sources i trust arent very helpful about it, lol.
