Just picked up our little girl’s ashes today and settled our veterinary bills (over $5k total and she still didn’t make it, would’ve gladly given anything if it made a difference).
She’s been gone for over a month and we still think about her every day. The first thing that comes to my mind is the morning is the knowledge of waking up to a world where she’s not here. She was the one who taught us unconditional love, and unbelievable courage especially in her last days.
We still have to find a new partner for her bereaved husbun but it’s been hard.
Love you forever, Boba.

Just lost my 14 year old dog a day ago and it still feels so unreal.. still can’t believe he’s gone. My cat whose been with him since he was a kitten is grieving right now and I don’t know how to make it easier for him. So painful.. I feel your pain and know that you’re not alone.❤️

oh man does my heart hurt for you, OP. your sweet boba reminds me so much of my boy clover! their looks are strikingly similar. my fiancé and i recently lost our girl, coffee, in the beginning of may at only 4 years old, so i know the pain and heartbreak of what you’re experiencing. it’s so incredibly hard at first and not a day goes by that we don’t think of her, share memories of her and talk about the good times with her, but it does get a bit easier day by day. we find peace knowing that coffee is no longer sick and in pain (with cancer) and that she is in peace up there binkying free in bunny heaven. i hope you ultimately find the same comfort knowing boba is in a better place up there. i’m sending love and hugs your way, and again i’m so sorry for your loss 💔🌈

Binky Free Boba 💙💙 you gave your owner and Bert all the love you had and he will always remember you. OP, you have her the life she deserves and she most definitely loved you. There will never be another Boba, there absolutely can be another bunny for Bert that will bring him similar joy and happiness. From my experience, Bert will take to another bunny with as much love and ease as can be possibly expected.

I’m so so sorry for your loss, OP. 😢 They truly change you as a person. She looked like the sweetest little bun ever. The pain does reduce with time, and I’ve found that getting a new bun can help with the grief a lot. It’s not a betrayal of love, it’s passing the love on to one that can return it, grief is just love with no place to go. 😟🌈🐰
