I love her so much. On Halloween it’ll be a year since I rescued her from outside. It took me 3 days to catch her. I knew nothing about bunnies besides that they liked carrots. So, it’s been a struggle and a learning curve. She’s ate my favorite pair of shoes, my favorite winter coat, and so many cords. ALL of my cords have covers on them, but she chewed through this one. I don’t want to give her up but I can’t even afford to get a new ac unit and I’m at a loss right now. It hurts even thinking about surrendering her to a shelter but I can’t afford for this to keep happening. It’s going to cost me a crazy amount to get a new one installed. I’m not someone who gets rid of my animals because of their behavior, so I just need help. What do I do? Are there covers that she can’t break through? This is the first one that she’s chewed completely through.

The flexible steel ones or Block off the cord access by putting something in from of it and where it comes out of the wall. A new cord could be instaled to an air conditioner without getting a new one.

You don’t have to replace the entire A/C. A cord shouldn’t cost more than $20.00 to $30.00. I use “split loom tubing on all the cords in my house. I have had free roam house bunnies for over 20 years and none of them have chewed through it. You can get 100 feet on Amazon super cheap. Also there are plastic panels you can buy. They are about 1 foot wide by 2 feet tall and come in packs of 10. I have 17 of them zip tied together and surrounding my husband’s stereo equipment and speakers. They work GREAT!
