Aside from preventing this behaviour which is stressful to the bun far more importantly female rabbits are **highly** prone to uterine cancer. The usual cited figure it 80% will have it by age 4, but it’s possible the figure is actually higher. Unfortuantely by the time it’s diagnosed it’s almost always too late to do anything as symptoms only appear once it has spread – usually to the lungs – making euthanasia the only option.
