So.. one of our girls turned out to be a boy and we started suspecting this last week when one of our French lops started making a nest. Of course we immediately made an appointment for our girl-turned-boy to get him fixed- but the ‘damage’ was done. We’ve been inspecting the nest since we found her making it and today, we found out there where babies! Only 2 out of 5 survived, one of the babies that died seemed to be dragged and was bitten open.
We want these 2 other babies to thrive, but aren’t sure if mom or dad did what seems to have happened to one of the dead babies..
We can use all the advice you can give.
Dad has been separated for now, and are keeping an eye on mom.. what else can we do?
