So I just found out that the larger SAMLA boxes from IKEA will perfectly fit a 50 pound compressed hay bale from tractor supply while the shorter one acts as the perfect height for a dig box. I have hay and pellets mixed in so it can encourage the digging behavior since he always dumps out the pellets in a regular feeder.
Also PSA: they do NOT live in that hutch that you can see in the right side of the picture. They have a huge space to run around and it is only used for them to just relax and hide
