UPDATE : got back from the vet a couple hours ago, the vet said she she’s looking good, She saw that she was sorta kinda using her legs a bit at the vet and was kinda acting a little spicy (lol) so she wasn’t really concerned with the way she was sitting and or her legs. she thinks the dislocation happened months ago and we just never noticed. She said that when she tried to pop her hips back into her sockets yesterday she may have torn the scar tissue that had form there and that’s why she won’t use her legs it cause she’s in so much pain. They gave her a pain shot that will last her until wed and then she has an appointment on friday to go over her lab results and check her legs, but she said it may take weeks and or months for her to go back to the way she was, and if she doesn’t she might need surgery:( good news is She’s no longer hunched over with her legs splayed, she’s now loafing so hopefully that means the pain meds have kicked in. Please keep my bun in your thoughts! Will update again if anything changes 🙂
[picture of her legs](https://imgur.com/a/mCigoHn)My sisters bunny was scheduled to get spayed yesterday and it was postponed because her kidney levels were abnormal and they wanted to do more testing to see what was wrong with her. One of those testing being an X-ray, turned out she had dislocated her hips which was a shock to everyone cause she had be acting just fine, running/jumping playing and eating and drinking. The vet tried popping her hips back in place but she said that they would just pop right out, which was concerning to me. Especially now . We brought her back home yesterday evening she was loopy and lethargic and was trying to use her back legs and they just weren’t working. Fast forward to this morning shes just been sitting in the same spot for I don’t know how long sorta hunched over with her back legs splayed out, she can’t walk and she’s not able to use anything so I’ve been syringe feeding her water and I gave her some greens which she gobbled up, but she won’t touch her pellets or eat any hay. She’s been pooping m, but she hasn’t peed yet hoops he does soon. The vet called to check up on her and my mom updated her and the vet said that her not using her legs and staying in that one spot is normal because she’s in pain?
I just don’t understand cause she was completely fine prior to her appointment. literally ran and played with her an hour before. Could they have done somthing to mess up her legs? Or is this a normal thing? She has a check up in a week to go over her test results for her kidneys.
I just want to know what to do to make her comfortable, do I move her? or just let her stay hunched over? Any advice would be extremely appreciated. 😭
