hi friends.
before i start, i’d like to say that i *have* spoken to gizmo’s vet. here’s the situation:
gizmo is over a year old and he’s been eating alfalfa hay all his life. (**i just found out buns shouldn’t eat alfalfa after a year old!**) he won’t touch timothy or anything else. recently, however, gizmo hasn’t been interested in his hay.
he’s been eating his pellets, his “greens”, and treats with enthusiasm but *not* his hay. obviously, i became very concerned and contacted his vet who told me to try “emeraid sustain” for buns. (**i gave him some of the medication today but i’m not even sure i mixed it right**.)
his belly feels normal (doughy). he’s hopping around and jumping, even doing his little flop, but not touching the hay. i wonder: *do rabbits get tired of the same hay after awhile*?
gizmo has also been peeing in weird spots lately. he was potty trained the day he came home so it’s odd that he’s doing that.
has anyone else had this experience?
