Seeking help! Cute Cosmo pics for tax (last one is a pic the last time we had to leave the apartment, that stuffed animal paid the price).
Cosmo is having to move with me over the next few months for medical school. We will be in a pet friendly air b n b for 2 months and then staying with my parents for 1 month after that before finally coming home. He hates traveling. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on helping him settle in? I feel so guilty that he has to move with me, but I know that there is no one here I trust to watch him over such a long period.
He really loves our home and is 100% free roam. He is always exploring or sleeping in one of his favorite spots. He’s lived in this apartment since we found him abandoned last September. He hates vet trips and road trips.
I am bringing his litter box, tunnel, snuffle mat, hides, bowls, toys, hay, pellets, litter, emergency kit etc from home (lol plus one bag for me) and he will have lots of greens there too. I went early to rabbit proof everything and we leave today. Is there anything else I can do to help? I’ll be there with him all day today and half day tomorrow.
Also, I know he needs a bonded partner. We’ve tried 3 times since last October (3 months each time, met 12 rabbits total). We’re working with a person from house rabbit society since he is such a hard bond. We just finished attempt 3 unsuccessfully. When we come back home we will try a fourth time. I know having a partner would help him and I promise I am trying, but it isn’t nt an option this trip.
