I expanded the area today and they stayed together for 1 hour. We had to take the little one (Merida) out a couple times because she was breathing hard so she appeared stressed. She spends a lot of time NOT hanging out with Sidney but Sid finds ways to get over to her. I can tell that Merida doesn’t trust Sid yet but Sid is dying to hang out with her. I catch her by the room Merida stays in alllll the time standing by the door. Tomorrow is 2 hours of bonding. But I feel so much more hopeful than I did 2 weeks ago. Slow and steady. It’s so crazy to watch them learn to trust one another. It’s interesting how they navigate it.
