My sweet child has been sick since Friday. After being apathetic and not wanting to eat I took him to the vet where he had to stay overnight. It seems his appendix is inflamed and the pain made him scared of pooping. Now I have to give him laxatives, painkillers, antibiotics and something else to help with gas. Him and his sister are my first buns and I wouldn’t have expected appendicitis in something that small.
He is eating again but he is very low on energy, sometimes he runs around and he does give me bumps to greet me again but my worries aren’t subsiding. Though him and his sister are closely bonded and usually play and cuddle up 24/7 they haven’t shared any affection since and I am beginning to wonder if she stays clear because he is not going to make it. I am supposed to just give him his meds for now and watch his food and water intake, he will be checked up on again in a few days. But I hoped he would be okay again already.
