Hello all,
I found out Saturday that my rabbit (4.5 year old new Zealand rabbit) has severe lung disease. The vet prescribed 0.4 ml Doxycycline hyclate every 24 h and Enrofloxacin 0.5 ml every 12 h.
The first two days I swaddled him and got the medicine in him via syringe. Tonight I swaddled him and got the Doxycycline hyclate in him but he refuses to let me give the enrofloxacin. I am at a loss as to how to administer the medicine. I have to administer these antibiotics for 2 weeks.
I tried mixing it with mushed Banana and he won’t eat it. I don’t know what to do. I tried calling the vets office and they didn’t have any ideas.
Does anyone have an idea as to how I can give him his medicine?
