Advice needed

Hi all! I’m in need of some advice from anyone who may have experienced something similar. Rex (who is a mini Rex named Rex, creative ik) had a medical emergency over the weekend, he had an obstruction in his stomach which lead to him not eating, pooping, or moving pretty much. He had surgery to remove it after hydration therapy didn’t work, he’s was recovery BUT he chewed through his bunsie and sutures within an hour of me leaving for work today. Thankfully my boyfriend works 2 mins away from home he was able to assess the damage and get him to the vet where they used staples to close him up. We’re looking at 3 weeks of recovery instead of 10 days. My question is what can I do to keep him off of the incision site? I have a soft flower cone which is going on as soon as we get home, and the vet recommended covering the site with duct tape, on top of the bunise not his fur but I don’t really want to do this if there’s another option. Do we have any suggestions for something to cover the area other than duct tape or an ace bandage? We have 2 onesies I plan on layering them if I need to but what else can I do?
