Building a home – opinions? Flooring?

Hey everyone,
so a year ago my wife rescued a bunny which was abandoned in a park (they are crowded with wild rabbits and somebody just left her there). After we decided to keep her we got her a partner and discovered a month later she was carrying babies from her “adventure in the park”. She birthed 10 babies, of which 8 survived and we kept 2 of them, so we are left with 4 grown bunnies by now.
We decided to build an outside home for them for various reasons and I would like to hear your opinion about it.

In our area, foxes roam the streets (they are used to humans and feed mostly on trash they find), so in needs to be safe. Especially the young rabbits are very active (probably due to their father’s wild nature) and having them run free is no option, so their home must be big enough that they can live in their permanently.
We have an area which is about 2m wide and 5m long, making it 10m² (around 110 square feet I guess). Half of it is 2m high so we can stand to clean, the other half ist only about 1.5m high (due to the kitchen window).
The lower area is supposed to be natural ground, so they can have the feeling of grass. So I dug a pit about 40cm deep and placed a wire mesh in the ground. On the borders are concrete tiles and also the higher-ceilinged part has concrete tiles on the floor.
The ironmesh, which covers all walls and the roof is supposed to be strong and small enough to withhold martens and birds.
We are building a house/cave for them l, which will be isolated for winter but I don’t have photos right now.

We are nor sure, what material is best to cover the concrete tiles? Do you have any suggestions?
It should be soft on their feet but also we wouldn’t want to clean it like twice a week 😆
Also I’d like to hear any suggestions and recommendations to improve the cage!

tl;dr: we are building a home for 4 rabbits and need recommendations what’s best to cover the concrete tiles on the ground.
