This is episode 15 of the Rabbit Island Web Series! In this video, we revisit the special palm tree on Rabbit Island that the bunnies call home. The palm’s leaves cover the entrance to a colony of over 100 bunnies! The palm provides shade from the sun and also protection, but once a big, sweet, juicy carrot is presented, all the bunnies come pouring out!
Japan’s Rabbit Island, known as Ōkunoshima (大久野島), is a small island located in the Inland Sea of Japan in the city of Takehara, Hiroshima Prefecture. It is often called Usagi Jima (ウサギ島, “Rabbit Island”) because of the numerous feral rabbits that roam the island; they are rather tame and will approach humans.
