This is a recent development. The only other change is that he has become overall more friendly and relaxed. He was a rescue and lived outside as a stray for 6 mo-1 year before we got him. As such he’s always been very nervous and shy, but he’s finally coming out of his shell.
When I’m walking around, he follows me around and nips me. There’s no growling or scratching involved, it doesn’t seem aggressive at all and doesn’t usually hurt. As soon as I stop walking, he’s right there tugging on my clothes and nipping my ankles. Any thoughts on what this means?
He’s about 5 years old, we’ve had him for 2 years, neutered just after we got him. This behavior started about 3 weeks ago.
