I’ve been obsessing about a pet rabbit for a few months (much to my bf’s :/ reaction) and he says it would be unfair to the dog and cat that I already have (cat is 13 and blind) (dog is 2.5 and jerks her leash to chase squirrels).
Against his better judgment, I went to visit a bunny at my local humane society – and was the only person in over a week to ask to meet him!! – and like, fell in love with him! He’s fixed, basically litter trained, and wants nothing at all except toys and pets.
Can someone let me down gently that adopting him (obviously would be after purchasing the needed supplies, I’ve done tons of research) would be either a bad idea or just not an ideal situation? Basically… everyone in my life is saying no, and I guess I wanted to ask experienced bunny parents, too. No one I know has ever had a pet rabbit.
Babe, if you see this post… no you didn’t. Also for context, I’m going through a lot of grief right now and have a total rescuer’s complex and I just wanna hold something tiny and defenseless in my arms and keep it safe from everything.
Sorry if this isn’t allowed! Delete if not, I understand 🙂
