What little angels!! They’re so precious. Buns prefer carpet because it provides traction. They don’t have foot pads like dogs and cats, and really need carpet or something similar so they can run around. Also it’s cozy when they want to lounge!

    Traction.

On the other flooring, with their fuzzy toes, they slide easily. They feel safer and more in control of  their movement on carpet

Traction, our bun doesn’t like hardwood because she slips

Get some fuzzy socks on and slide around. They don’t like that, probably. 😆

Rabbits don’t have pads on their feet like cats and dogs so hardwood floors, tile, linoleum, etc are very difficult for a bunny to walk on and keep their balance if hopping or running/zoomies.

It can also lead to issues with their hoks (sp?) but basically the word for bunny feet hehe.

They need something like thick fleece or carpet. Even if it’s fabric but not thick enough it can stress them out.

The wood floor leads to artritis and spinal injuries. That’s why they look like a drunk sonic the hedgehog when they try to run on it.

Cute bunnies, not really the subreddit for this post though as it’s directly in opposition to rule 2

As other have pointed out rabbits prefer rugs because it provides traction. In fact, if rabbits spend too much time on smooth floors their legs can slide out, deforming the hips.

Traction. Getting some extra carpets for them to run around on it always a nice thing for pet bunnies!
