We finally found the right goats for our farm. We picked Nigerian dwarf goats because they’re good milk producers, but also small, which is the right choice for our small children for now. We had previously looked at Angora goats and Lamancha goats. So now we need help deciding between getting 2 of the cute babies or a mama and her baby. Mama would be ready to milk when we brought her home. Vote in the comments which we should get! I harvested some Romanesco broccoli. Fed some greens to our newest additions…We added Rex Bunnies to the homestead. Main purpose of having them is their poop. Rabbit poop is a cold poop which means it can go directly in the garden and doesn’t have to be composted first. That’s a win for me. I’m trying to work towards a permaculture farm. Where all the plants and animals work together to create a balanced environment. I’m so excited for the goats!
