For the longest time we thought we had caterpillars eating one of our plants. Gradually there were bits of it nibbled away and we couldn’t figure out how. I searched every millimetre of the soil and the plant and found nothing. One day my SO had left the living room for a few minutes and came back to find our bun balancing on his back legs from the arm of the sofa, with his body extended out so he could just about reach the leaves. He was our caterpillar.
The plant was rehomed and our bun continues to cause trouble at any given opportunity.
