Honestly. You’ll treasure this book when your bunny has passed away. You’ll laugh and cry and think of the memories. Treasure it and keep it somewhere safe ❤️

I have things my bunny chewed (annoyed me at the time) and now whenever I see the chew marks I just think of him and laugh/cry. He chewed one of my Nintendo joy con’s just after I got my Nintendo, I was so upset at the time. Now I see it and I think about him and how the little things always matter the most.

But first you’ll have to catch them!

  3. jarchack

Mine didn’t go anywhere near my copy of “Atlas Shrugged”.

  4. Jaded_Goth

Your bunny just wanted to leave a review of the literature.

Or boxes, or clothes, or pens, or walls…

  6. Mohave_Reptile

I just look at the baseboards & reminisce about all of the bunnies

Facts. I just noticed that a photo album I had made years ago was frayed around the edges. And I know who the guilty party is! But he’s too cute and bossy for me to bring this to his attention. Plus, I’m afraid of him…![img](emote|t5_2riv8|8709)

  8. I have so many things chewed on from my bunny that when he did it, I was so mad at him. But now that he’s passed away I look at those things differently and don’t mind so much that he chewed on them.

Also it’s really funny that it’s Watership Down.

Somewhere I have a picture of my late bun Penny chomping on a copy of Seamus Heaney’s translation of Beowulf. I imagined her as Grendel’s bunny going all killer rabbit on Hreothgar’s men.

One of the first bunnies my family had chewed the phone line, the company had to change the cable

  11. ProjectManagerNoHugs

That’s a terrific book! Bun just wanted a sample!

  12. CloverMyLove

my daughter has a bite scar from her bun that she treasures! 😆

  13. I’ve been without a bun for several years now, but so so many of my books bear the bun marks of my beloved lil asshats… not going to lie, they don’t bother me until it’s gotten out of hand and the book is fekked

  14. HunBunYum

If not made for bun to chew, why bun on cover?

  15. Literallystopitrn

Mine tore out literal pages of my copy of wuthering heights and now I have no idea how the book ends because she just had to chew up the last few chapters while I was at work 🙄

  16. DaringNotDire

Bun just wanted to prove he would be a fierce member of the Owsla.

  17. dastintenherz

Years after my bunnies have passed these chewed on things are my favourite possessions 🙂 when I run my fingers along the bite marks I think of them and smile.

  18. petitelarceny

    To be fair…that book…

Mine got ahold of my wallet the other day. It already needed replacing but I haven’t found a suitable replacement yet, no need to hurry it up.

My bunny chewed holes in one of my favourite sweaters’ sleeves, i was upset at the discovery but now i have some embroidered flowers over the holes that make me think of her whenever i see them ❤️

At first I was bummed out when my bunny nibbled and my favorite manga. But as time passed and had no choice but to leave her in the loving care of my parents, I came to appreciate it more and more. That manga is now very precious me, she left a mark I can cherish always.

  21. Mushroomed_clouds

Bunny was just supporting the rabbits in the book but couldn’t turn the pages itself

  22. breadandbunny

The movie made me sad. I hate seeing buns get hurt in any way. 😔

  23. IGTankCommander

    Ladies and gentlemen… Irony.

    *Thunderous applause*

  24. Huge-Anxiety-3038

Probs just upset it’s not his picture on the cover…

  25. GoodKnight2340

They were just giving it an autograph

Little Winston Churchhare peed on my son’s favorite NASA backpack. He was so mad. Now that Winston is gone, my son decided not to wash it

My boyfriend’s family always sent Christmas cards and birthday cards that were “signed” by the bunnies as well. We’re continuing the tradition: I cross-stitch bunny-themed Christmas cards and we let Owen and Molly chew the edges to sign them.

my bun has eaten two phone charges and my entire cork board, i’ve learned my lesson 😭😭

  29. agnurse

The fact that the bun decided Watership Down was especially delicious is oddly satisfying 😂

  30. sharknado_18

Someone is NOT a fan of General Woundwort

  31. Wilsonismybunny

    Watership down??? Omg!!
My rabbit ate Anne Frank’s diary. I was mortified.

  32. AntiPossessedVikingr

My bunnies know to leave books alone. But they very happily destroyed my husband’s copy of Pet Cemetery. Funny the bunnies have now come for Watership Down, too.

  33. aperturetattoo

Cell phone case. Sandals. Literally anything I don’t think to remove from their path or that I didn’t remove quick enough. It’s what they do. Plus, this incident is small scale, reasonably non-toxic, and hilariously thematically appropriate. Much better than charred bun chewing on a danger noodle.

  34. Comfortable_Pay4986

That is actually precious. Your bun has good taste.

Curious: Has anyone in this sub NOT read this book?

  35. spangledpirate

I used to watch the film version with my bun. I’d always sob into his fur when the black rabbit came for Hazel at the end. I’ve not been able to watch it again since he died.
