Hi I’m new to the bunny mom community lol. Have an 8 week old mini Holland Lop, her name is Ellie 🥰 so far she has been getting pretty comfortable with me and purring when I pet her forehead and coming over to nudge my nose and hand for more pets. I also got her a play pen and toys. Just wanted to see if anyone can share any pointers on how I can show I love her? How long did it take for you and your bunny’s to bond? Ty!

As soon as she hits 12 weeks old, you can start feeding small amounts of vegetables. Hand-feed those! Also just spending lots of time with her. Sitting in her pen while you’re on your phone, etc

Like the others said, spend time with her. Give her small amounts of treats, and it would also help to leave things with your scent on them in areas she spends a lot of time. Try not to be upset if it takes a while – different bunnies have different personalities. Of my current three (all rescues):
The first was bonding with me after about a few days, the second hasn’t really bonded with me at all (she’s bonded with the first, and only really lets me pet her if he’s with her. She has no problem taking treats from me, though!), and the third was bonding with me within 24 hours of bringing her home.
Judging by the picture, though, hopefully bonding shouldn’t be an issue!

Please learn proper husbundry and Diet. Diet is key with Rabbits for a long healthy life. Do not go out buying everything with a picture of a rabbit on it. It probably is not good for them.

Don’t take it personally if Ellie does not like being lifted up. It’s an instinct as prey animals that some rabbits dislike it.
My most lovey dovey bunny boy wanted his paws on Terra Firma at all times. Lifting for cuddles was out but he would happily relax with me and give and receive loves all day long on stable ground.
Shes sitting on your chest getting fusses amd kisses, id say youve bonded already, especially if she gives licks back.
