My bunny had to get a CT scan today to check for dental issues and I think vet did a bad job at putting the IV on her, she has been licking the leg they put the IV in a LOT and it looks like a really big wound now. I went back to the vet and they gave me a soft cone but my bunny is not tolerating it at all, she is biting on it and flipping over constantly. I tried to wrap a cotton cloth around it and she keeps biting it too. What can I do so she stops licking it? The vet is closed now and they said there’s no alternative to cone. Right now I’m just trying to distract and stop her whenever she goes to lick her leg. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Is there any ointment or anything i can get from safeway pharmacy that would numb the irritation she’s getting and also be safe to put on her ?
