My buns are still young, but not as young as they used to be, they’re about 3.
When I first got them, they were so cute, but they would destroy everything!! No matter what I bunny-proofed, they’d find a way around it or find something else I hadn’t thought to bunny proof.
And I hated keeping them locked in their area, but it was the only way they couldn’t get to everything, but then they learned to escape it!
I was a freshmen in high school when I got them and I was overwhelmed. Multiple times did I think about re-homing them. But I just couldn’t get past what if someone who didn’t know anything about rabbits got them, and they were locked in a tiny cage their whole life, or separated from each other etc.
There a no rabbit specific rescues nearby so I didn’t trust they’d make sure someone took care of them properly.
They’re older now, and out of their old habits for the most part. but I wonder how you guys did it?
(Picture when we first moved in and they were exploring, no carpets yet sorry!!)
