So my little dust nugget (1.5-2yr old unneutered male) keeps peeing right outside his box. I mean it’s not his fault, he pulls his hay out of his feeder and when he jumps out of his box it all falls out on the sides. Then he stands outside the box where all the hay has fallen out, eating and doing his business as he should. I had to put a temporary plastic mat under his box until I get a bigger one today (if the local pet stores have stainless steel boxes in stock) because the reusable puppy pee pads I have do soak through after a few pees in the same spot. Poor guy isn’t doing anything wrong, he’s doing his best, it’s just getting annoying and I NEED to get it under control before I go away for a few days next month and have my family looking after him. Saving up for his neuter. I’m lucky that he’s been so good so far in the month or so that I’ve had him. Also hoping the pet store will have different hay feeders in stock with less holes so he can only pull hay out right in front of him instead of from all angles. 🤞
