My bunny has always been really good at using her litter box for the past 3 years. She rarely goes outside the cage, maybe only 3 times in her life. Recently she started pooping on the carpet… and I can’t figure out why? I’ve read some old posts with people having similar issues, maybe she’s remarking her territory? Or maybe she doesn’t want to go back in her hutch and risk getting put away for the night? She is like 75% free roam, only in hutch at night and when I’m at work 3 days a week. She used to stay in her hutch more even when the door was open, but recently she’s been coming out all day until I put her away at night. I also started giving her hay cubes as a treat when she comes out… maybe since she’s eating outside the hutch she thinks she can poop out here too. Idk, lots of maybes…. Here’s a photo for evidence
