So my sweet boy had a weird dandruff looking patch on his back, I decided to make a vet appointment & they had said it was ear mites. I had given him the medication (ear drops) & they have done nothing, i’m at a loss because he is an indoor rabbit & my second rabbit who hasn’t been fixed yet, (they are separated) is starting to get a similar patch closer to the nape of her neck. This past weekend I went on vacation & came back to see his back in this condition. My mom had stopped by to feed them. But I’m upset and unsure what the process will be next to get rid of this. I clean his enclosure once a week & liter box every other day. I’m unsure on how this is happening and it’s making me really sad because he was losing weight but seems a bit healthier now. Has anyone had a similar experience? I’m so unsure what to do & I don’t want him or her to die. Obviously a new vet appointment at a new place is scheduled, slightly further than I’d like but I’m just worried. I was spraying the area with a topical spray for small pets that I had purchased off of chewy every few days. Basically if anyone has experience & knows what comes after the ear drops don’t work I would appreciate it.
