Hello, I need help with my bunny. I already have one rabbit that’s almost 4 years old and I recently got this mini lop so that the eldest doesn’t feel alone, but he’s super messy. I ended up getting distracted for a moment and he managed to do the feat of climbing onto a very high piece of furniture, knocking over some objects, including a small bottle of disinfectant. I saw that the packaging was leaking onto the floor and the hay on the floor that they pulled from the hay rack had gotten a little wet, I dried everything immediately and removed the hay. My boyfriend was nearby and said he heard a noise, but couldn’t see the wet floor from far away and the rabbit was eating hay from inside the hay holder (where the disinfectant didn’t get in). In the same way, I’m scared because he’s not even 5 months old and I’ve already been through two situations where he ate some small things he shouldn’t have. I think because he’s so young, he still doesn’t understand what he can and can’t eat and his messy personality doesn’t help us prevent it sometimes. This happened last night, I haven’t noticed any strange behavior so far, other than a little orange pee. I live in a small town in Brazil, very rural and remote, where there is no exotic veterinarian. Besides, rabbit consultations are very expensive and as I got him in the middle of this year, I’m still paying for the previous consultation and at the moment I really can’t take him to a vet. I need help, I’ve searched everywhere and I can’t find any information on how to know if he ingested it, if he’s intoxicated or something I can give orally just to make sure nothing happens.
