My Bunny had his abscess drained yesterday and I was sent home with a saline solution to flush the abscess. Yesterday night I easily got the syringe tip into the hole and flushed it. Today I can’t get the tip of the syringe into the hole because it’s hardened over.
When I tried to flush it, it just went on the top and then ran down his cheek. this is a picture if it helps. My vet says we need to keep flushing it and to try to gently pick the scab, but I don’t know the best way to do that without causing harm. Has anyone gone through this? please help if you have.
