This is clearly propaganda by Porridge in order to calm the people down so that his takeover isn’t met with fierce resistance. Also I believe that the gate is open. So it is clear that Cubby is just make sure that “Jail” is good enough so that Porry doesn’t make a scene and say he is being buntained in a awful jail cell.

Bunnville’s very own Sheriff Cub has been jailed on charges of slander against Mayo Pormgyger. When asked for a comment Mayo Podgerwoo stated “Da Sheriff slandered me? I do not recall the two of us ever slipping on a wet surface. I think the charges may be premature.” When told that he was thinking of “sliding” and not “slander” the mayo responded with a stern-yet-confused-and-empty look as if he succeeded in dividing by zero twice. Mayo Parmiggiano was ushered quickly away with a promise of havarti inside his choo-choo by a cheesed off aide.
