Keeping 2 males together?

I just adopted 2 male littermates, about 8 weeks old. My hope is to keep them together. Right now they love each other. Is it likely to last? I have a vet appointment next week to double check their sexes and schedule a neuter as soon as possible.

They will have a total pen space of about 10ft x 20ft (not including vertical space) when I’m not able to supervise. I’m hoping this is enough room to give them each some of their own territory and avoid fights.

Right now they’re in an 8′ wide pen until their permanent setup is complete this weekend.

I’ve seen info online about introducing 2 males, but I’m having a hard time finding data on littermates.

I do have experience with rabbits, but this is my first rodeo with babies and cohabitation. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’ll add that I was supposed to get a male and a female at 10 weeks. But the boys started getting a little too interested in their mom and sisters. So the original owner asked me to take 2 of the boys today to prevent another unwanted rabbit pregnancy.

It depends entirely on the rabbits, but if they show signs of escalating aggression, I would have separate housing ready until they’re neutered for a month before trying to re-bond.

Maybe my experience is unique, but my boys always seemed much much more likely to be friendly to other rabbits than my girls. In fact I don’t think I ever saw a solitary act of aggression from any of my boys, but I did from most of my girls.
